ABOUT
Zebang Yang was born and raised in Xiamen, a coastal city in souther China, he loves the vastness of the sea, and the infinite possiblities of film making. He graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University and Shanghai Vancouver Film School’s Directing Department. He is now studying at Columbia University’s Film MFA program. His film “Half Metre '' went to Shanghai International Film Festival, won the Best Fiction Short in VKRATZE! International Short Film Festival and the Best Intl. Short film in the Berlin Shorts Award and Bridge Fest Vancouver. His film “Whistling Bugs” won the CINENEXT Film Festival Outstanding Film Award; “Crash” - a short film he wrote and shot won the Best Film of Huayi Star Creation. He is a serious and young filmmaker who is trying hard and thriving in the film industry.
